Baja Med Life ("we," "us," or "our") is a medical tourism coordination service based in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. We help American patients access world-class surgery and 5-star recovery services at a fraction of US prices.
We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website or submit a consultation request, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language — no legal jargon where we can avoid it.
If you have questions at any point, you can reach us at hello@bajamed.life.
We only collect information you choose to give us — typically when you fill out a consultation or contact form on our website. This may include:
We do not collect payment card information directly. Any payment processing (such as a reservation deposit) is handled by Stripe, which operates under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS security standards.
We also collect limited non-personal data automatically through advertising pixels — see Section 5 for details.
Your information is used only to respond to you and help coordinate your care. Specifically:
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making, profiling, or general marketing campaigns. We will not add you to any newsletter or mailing list without your explicit consent.
The only third parties who may process your data in limited ways are service providers who help us operate our website — specifically Formspree (form delivery) and Stripe (payment processing). Both are bound by their own privacy policies and industry-standard data protection practices.
Our website uses advertising tracking tools to understand how visitors find us and to measure which ads lead to consultation requests. We use two of these tools:
These pixels collect anonymised, aggregated data — browser type, device type, pages visited, and general geographic region. They do not transmit your name, email address, or phone number to Meta or TikTok.
To opt out of Meta advertising tracking:
Visit facebook.com/adpreferences or use the industry opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info. You can also install the Facebook Off-Facebook Activity control to limit tracking across websites.
To opt out of TikTok advertising tracking:
In your TikTok account, go to Settings & Privacy → Privacy → Ads and Data, and disable interest-based ads. You can also opt out via the DAA opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info.
Consultation forms on this website are processed by Formspree, a third-party form delivery service. When you submit a form, your data is transmitted securely over HTTPS and delivered to us via email. Formspree stores submitted entries on its servers in accordance with its own privacy policy.
We do not maintain an independent database of form submissions. The information we receive arrives as email and is handled by the Baja Med Life coordination team directly.
If you request that your information be deleted, we will remove it from our records and ask Formspree to do the same on our behalf.
Our website uses cookies primarily through the Meta and TikTok pixels described in Section 5. These are small text files placed in your browser that help advertising platforms recognize returning visitors and measure ad effectiveness.
We do not use cookies for site analytics (such as Google Analytics) at this time.
You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to view this website or submit a consultation form, but it will prevent the advertising pixels from functioning.
The content on this site — including descriptions of procedures, outcomes, recovery timelines, and pricing — is intended to help you understand your options and ask better questions of your medical team. It is not a substitute for a consultation with a licensed physician.
All surgery carries risk. The procedures described on this site may not be suitable for everyone. Individual outcomes vary based on health history, body type, surgical technique, and recovery. Any results, savings figures, or timelines mentioned represent typical cases and are not guarantees.
Always consult directly with your assigned surgeon before making any medical decision. During your free consultation, your surgeon will review your specific situation and inform you of any risks or considerations that apply to you personally.
We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and, if you proceed, to coordinate your care. Once your experience with Baja Med Life is complete, we retain your contact details only for follow-up support and any future procedures you may request.
If you would like your information removed from our records at any time, email us at hello@bajamed.life with the subject line "Delete My Data" and we will action your request promptly.
Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at hello@bajamed.life and we will delete it without delay.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and operational reasons. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
We recommend checking this page periodically if you are an ongoing patient or are in the process of planning your procedure.
